Not really, you could find a part of terrain with a giant minable rock and make a cave for a breather to make it easier and get your rested bonus back. The trick to Moder is going somewhere that has restricted ground so he has trouble moving when he lands, and wail on him. You could be one of the people who pack a 1000 arrows but thats just a waste of time IMO. I'd also suggest building tons of base structures (benches, torches, etc) around his spawn so mobs don't interrupt the fight.
