At the point you have Obsidian arrows, you should be able to easily deal with even several trolls.

Parry, Then stab with spear till dead. it stagger-locks them.

If one line of Spikes isn't enough, Make several.

Use Poison arrows.

Build a huge stone wall.

Breed a bunch of wolves and let them free. Long as 2 survive, you're fine.

The only time Trolls are an issue is early game. The moment you get Troll Hide armor, they become pretty easy to manage.
