Ever played or heard of EQ (Everquest)?.

Death in that game meant you had to travel back to your corpse to loot like Valheim.

However, your also lost a lot of experience, could lose levels based on how far into the current level you were (which could mean newly equipped kegs can no longer be worn until you regain the level) , and there was a timer on your corpse that meant if it got to zero the corpse and all your stuff was lost forever.

Now tell me how crappy Valheim death is again. Harsh death penalties make you stop and think about your actions. Not meant to punish you purposely.
