IIRC, in the last post they made they mentioned they like to update the other areas as well (be it a few minor things) with every major update, even if the update is focused on a biome, in this case mistlands. So i'm just going to wait for the update to drop before i start a new playthrough.

And we've no idea when the update will release unfortunately, though it'd be sensible to assume soon in summer as that's when most people have the most free time due to the holiday, and it'd be wise for the devs to aim around that time.
