level 4 sadly could be withheld all the way till ashlands. hopefully its not but its a possibility given bronze was the same and can could get to level 3 initially. level 4 was next biome which kinda made bronze armor not worth it.

Agreed, it seems like the current weapons are capped at lvl 4, so you should be able to craft it at ML levels. On the other hand if lvl 4 is craftable with easily obtainable ashlands materials, i.e. the 'scale hides of the ashlands' instead of 'the black cores' so to speak, that wouldn't be outrageous either(the precedent is the ygg wood requirement for the BM pickaxe). It would just be unfortunate that it would still take so long.

but level 3 atleast should come before ashlands sometime.

for the table its another story. we never had a magic table before so this one is really hard to tell tbh and well the staffs are OP right now and dont share the melee weapons durability issue as much as the black forge stuff does. sadly this probaly means no armor from the cape either.

if they withhold both till ashlands well that defeats thier point completly by then. as you may aswell then just grab ashlands gear already which WILL be superior anyway.

its an odd choice for certain to withhold them. for the weapons its mainly durability as the dmg increase is a joke anyway you would still need the same amount of hits per enemy as now. but durability outright sucks for no reason currently.

Yes it's surprising, it shouldn't be a hard change. It's basically adding a few visuals of new upgrades and having a certain combination of mats to craft them. The material requirements for the weapons are known already.

the armor is another story. its pretty much useless due to this. can aswell stick with maxed padded. you wont notice a difference. this is just messed up.

True, but this hasn't really bothered me. Carapace armor is so cheap that I made it anyway(only 10 iron and 10 RE) and now I have padded as a backup for really bad corpse runs(luckily haven't had to use it for that purpose). It would be a different story if the set required more hard to obtain materials, like iron, then I wouldve probably just skipped it and rolled with padded.
