Usually that's my approach, but the combination of game mechanics at play here is working directly against it for me. Starred enemies can mean 'epic fight' or 'instant death' depending on a lot of factors that I can't intuit so I gotta go all grognard on this. Can't learn by doing when the negative feedback is me exploding into a cloud of blood on the first parry.
