The other day I paid 7.77€ on register number 7. Didn't plan any of it, I realized it when they told me. Went to buy a lottery ticket for the giggles and didn't earn anything and was assaulted by a leashless dog on my way home.

While it can be crafted during the appropriate season, certain map seeds will also spawn them regardless of the season. You can use the seed map generator website and tick to look for maps with maypoles and see that. I've a seed or two that had poles in the winter time accordingly.
