Is that normal? Should I try another distro? Using Ubuntu 22.04

I would recommend having at least a 32GB ram rig in todays era, 64 is soon going to be the new norm. 12GB's isn't that much ram if you're not using a windows PC as Windows uses their internal drives to act as additional memory. Its great if people have m.2's. Another Factor ive noticed is that most applications on devices that are not running a Windows OS do utilize a lot more ram but to be frank 7 - 12GB's of ram Usage for an app doesn't seem like much on a Non Windows OS machine.

Edited to state: "Usage of ram for an app".
