It is pretty straight forward. I'd recommend Valheim Plus (because it comes with everything you need, no need to figure out bepinex) and Server Devcommands. Valheim Plus lets you change a ton of settings, which mostly come defaulted to off, so its pretty much mod what you want settings wise. I've used it for a long long time with no issue.
