You may be talking about the frostner, but that is a one handed hammer, not a mace. It is worse than the bronze mace in terms of blunt damage, which is why it’s not great as a mace weapon.

Maces are characterized by having high blunt damage, which is powerful against many enemies in the game. The porcupine has lower blunt than the iron mace, meaning technically a plains tier mace is missing as well.

It's literally a club weapon in the game and currently the best one at that because the weapon rocks against anything except stone golem and lox. Frost damage is amazing.

If you want pure blunt damage, you can use the sledgehammer or demolisher, but it's not truly needed at this stage.

I agree that it’s one of the best club weapons in the game, but I disagree that it’s a mace. It’s very low in damage in comparison to a maxed iron mace when facing some enemies, so it specializes towards enemies that are weak to frost or spirit.

The two handed options are not as versatile because you can’t equip a shield, they are slow to attack, and they reduce movement speed a lot.
