One of the commenters said the "Better Archery" mod was the source of the problem, and removing it solved the issue.

I've been using BetterArchery for >1,5 years and never had that error (or any other that wasn't quickly resolved with updating mods)

Quite a few players don't even know they're running mods (sometimes even when they're staring right at a BepInEx error).
