Mistlands I can understand, but how do you die easily in plains if you're well equipped?

With a decent run skill and rested buff, I don't know of anything that I can't outrun in heavy armor, except for wolves and deathsquitos.

Exactly that bolded part. When bad luck happens, you can get unexpectedly ganged up on by multiple fast enemies while you're stuck between a rock and a hard place and you die.
It rarely happens but it can happen and no amount of armor will save you when you get stunlocked to death, whereas more speed might have gotten you out of trouble.

But you pointed out the major issue with stamina that I have read everywhere online: the regeneration rate of stamina: It's too slow., even with Well Rested perk. What I'd like is that high quality stamina food have a higher regen rate. Waiting for a 200 stamina bar to fill back up while you do nothing is such a slog, it hampers the flow of the game. I've seen a video of a melee build defeat the Queen. That fight took 30min to finish due to having to wait for stamina regen, needed for dodging AND attacking . :caster_sad: A magic build did it in 8min. That's a very lopsided build preference there.

Anyways, I'm sure they will eventually add light armor for Plains and Mistlands in the far future but they better fix stamina first.

Wolves can be negated by making use of the terrain to either stop them from being able to reach you or making them have to path differently to reach you. In a sense they can be like Deathsquito's in that they can pop up and bite you in the butt if you aren't paying attention but a lot of their power can be circumvented due to them being bound to the ground.

Deathsquito's are easily neutered once you hit swamp and get the root chest piece armor which is also good against the spear chucking fulings and later on seekers. A player with some amount of skill, time and luck could come across an abomination before killing the Elder allowing them easier access to plains and the abundant cloud berries.

Stamina issues can be lessened via food and more importantly potions. Mead has zero cooldown. Beyond that Eykthir's ability is really good for moving around which can be better then bonemass if you are knowledgeable of the enemies you are fighting and aren't planning on tanking hits - much like players using Fenris armor in Plains or Mistlands sacrificing the armor for movement.
