And, I'm sure I'll mention it when you get your stuff back too, but for anyone else who sees this thread make sure you always have a back-up plan to get back into a biome. Supplies for a boat, mead that lets you go back into a biome, an *active* spawn point on the same island, etc.
At least keep your old gear so if you do get screwed you don't have to get materials to get new materials.
