Silver gear is sufficient for confident corpse runs. Just remember to craft another light. Dvgar outposts are fairly common in larger mistland regions (I suggest marking them on the map) and can be used to get enemy agro off you in case you pulled multiple on accident or a gjall (which you probably don't want to deal with on a corpse run. Don't waste stamina in the mistlands running on flat ground, use stamina for climbing mountains or sprint dodging attacks. Doing these things I have successfully done (almost) naked corpse runs many times (always have a wisp).
