This is how I started ML when it was released and I progressed pretty smoothly as solo, even before the nerfs. To OP- you have to switch gear around depending on the biome, pierce resistance is crucial and you make up for it with padded helm/legs until carapace. Keep bombs and meads with you at all times, same as rested buff. I ran Eikthyr power because I can dodge and stamina is a big issue until you master the new enemies' animations. Hit the weak spots on soldiers and gjall, and always move the battle to ground you can fight on. You're exploring scary, new ground so go slow and steady! GL!
