At least a half success. I did find Moder on this mountain range:

I tore down the mostly torn down tower to build a small stone shack to live in up here. Now I need to figure out how to get back to at least my last outpost. I have 3 or 4 outposts stretching across half the world at this point, where I've had to leave stuff, but I think I have all I need in my ship, which is at the last outpost.

There are 4-5 peaks in this range, and Moder is in the furthest one from where I entered, but I did see a significant amount of black forest below in one place, which might be a good place to R&R and collect resources.

Maybe I can figure out how to get my ship there.
