If you have the right gear and eating the right food, deathsquitos are just flying greylings. You can punch them to death for giggles if you want. The true terror of the plains are 2-star fulings. Even in fully upgraded wolf armour/silver shield they can punch through your block and take 90% of your health away. The same git killed me several times today :)
