Everyone's different I guess. Wife and I ignored the fishing for a long time as it seems under developed (all those fish and only ONE recipe???)

Two hours or so later we have our fishing hats for catiching one of each 12 species despite modest skills of 12-16!

It has a certain Fun aspect I wasn't expecting and I do want try for a display wall of all level3+ specimens at some point but its a bit underwhelming o far.

My tip? Don't reel them in too far! If on land drag them to the surf and pick up. On a Boat or raft (rafts are more useful for fishing like this due to low sides) you have less room to do this but its still possible.
Also keep a Sta potion on your hot bar to prevent that vital catch getting the better of ya!
