No, They were not fed and were outside my main dwelling- still contained inside spike walls, right next to where I was building- which was a max of 10 minutes time, just long enough for me to replace a second row of spike walls inside the outer defense (fence in a fence)- to prevent any greyling/shamans from reaching them through the fence- and then funnel them back in.

Its not hasty- that is literally what happened. That was my conclusion- because of the evidence. The pigs that were one and two star were instead standard boars. Same number of boars. They had one status- then did not. Hence = lost the stars.
