I havent 100% certain confirmed it yet, but it seems to me that if you sleep at night, no attacks. The more nights you stay up all night, the higher the chances of an attack until it happens then it resets and starts the timer again. Ive never seen an attack happen while I was away from my home base. Just info, might help you going forward.
