Nobbler replied to Beater, Builder, or Voyager; which one best fits your playstyle? August 19, 2022 @ 6:07:52 am PDT
Hunter/Builder suits my style. I enjoy stealth games as long as they are not those lame 'press X to climb/vault/break' style button mashers.
Something abut high stakes, going out into plains or something in troll hide, maybe a fine bow, and see how well I can do stalking enemies, singling out targets, managing larger pulls, the situational awareness of adds spawning and moving around especially at night. The experience is calculated, looming, and most satisfying.
Otherwise, I love building in Valheim. Towers, Cabins, Castles, Cities, Bridges, you name it. I personally think that any game should have a high level of artistic creativity. I don't like prefab base parts where you just build some number of the same buildings in rows just to get +1 to some 'resource' number. You know the types, where the game is like, "You must clearcut the world to maximize profit". That is sickening to me.
Valheim on the other hand, includes a lot of natural environment, the AI is rather splendid with lots of spawn aggro. In Valheim, when I push forward, the game pushes back. It's just fantastic.
