Been playing the game since release. Never had a problem. But sure, never ever restart your computer if you die. (unless you don't feel like doing a corpse retrieval)

It's great that you have an intimate relationship with your computer, but then why would you go for a brutal hard reboot instead of one of the other solutions suggested in this thread?

At the end of the day, if you want to cheat just use the devcommands or backup your save ir alt-f4 the game. Having to hard reboot your computer ends up being more cumbersome and take longer. But hey, I'm not the one who is intimate with his computer so you do you. I'm just glad a few people chimed in here to point out how bad the suggestion was.
