I just read an article today that the devs are going to have difficulty settings for each new and already created world in a coming update. So you can turn off raids or make them more frequent, make combat harder or easier, no cost building, passive enemies, portal items like ores, it's gonna be a neat addition if you wanted to turn things like that off. :)
