yes I have tamed wolfs but they are useless against drakes...

The incessant drake attacks that last way, way too long finally forced me to use a mod to just turn off raids. They just aren't fun, and they don't add anything to the game for me that either aren't already there (reasons to leave your base to explore; we already have reason to do so) or add a useful challenge ("build defenses" doesn't work when there's nothing that can defend against a certain kind of mob; e.g. Drakes).
