Hello! First of all - I don't want to sound negative but I really don't understand it. Valheim is an outstanding commercial success and millions of fans bought. Yet, the development of further updates is extremely slow.

I've played the game almost a year ago and we've got only a minor updates (no new content, biomes etc) - so what's up with that? I thought that after millions of copies sold the team will significantly expand.

It feels like only couple of people is currently working on Valheim. I mean, in this pace it will take 2-3 years to finish all the biomes.

Still, it's the best mmo/coop games I've played. I'm just really wondering, why is it taking so long?

Small team (compared to AAA companies), working remotely, as covid is still a global pandemic, and working steadily, (not rushed) to produce a custom game with custom assets, meaning they aren't using purchased assets and just dropping them in.

They have said all along that they will not rush things, but rather, work slow and steady and try to do it RIGHT the first time rather than push out broken, buggy content due to rushing it.

Good games take time, and that usually means YEARS.... I would expect it to take another year or two, before we get a finished product, and very much think it will be worth the wait.
