Yeah it sounds like a beehive. You can shoot them to collect the queen and make your own honey.. a great resource you will need. So look around and listen for the sound of flying insects. If you repaired an old house it may be in an upper peak section, I have even seen them part way through walls so you could get hit inside or out.
