i was in the same position and started playing again from scratch. i am enjoying it more than i did the first time. i think the food system is improved. they added some item recipes to make the previously useless loot useful to some extent. i think they streamlined the iron mining in crypts. there is at least one new enemy that was quite a shock. i am only at iron so far so there will be more to see. all that said, the core gameplay loop is the same, so if you never wanted to chop another tree or plant another carrot you will still have to deal with that.

i came back back after playing new world and lost ark. At least in valheim you dont have deal with the botters and hackers. That is what i really needed a break from.
