Meh. Magic is just another tier of gear. I changed playstyle when I got a sword and a good shield, and then I changed playstyle again when I got a killer bow.

This game is a linear one; complete content of biome, kill boss, get new stuff, use that stuff to complete next biome, kill the boss after that, etc. That's the loop. Magic is just like iron was, or bronze. We didn't go back and get iron things added to the Meadows, because that's just not this game.
