As a dedicated mace/hammer user, I have often thought a spear would have been useful in tight dungeon hallways. Plus as a Legends mod user and a dedicated Priest I thought a spear a much more appropriate ranged weapon for a Priest than a bow, but I didn't like the fact that I could throw it away and lose metal this way, seems too penalizing a drawback just for a ranged weapon. The harpoon doesn't share that problem, oddly.
