Personally use a sword and board for melee. Fast, good dmg, buckler for parry ability.

Bow is, imo, the best weapon. Draugr Bow in particular.

But all weapons are useful, and multiple needed, as enemies are weak against different types of dmg (pierce, blunt, etc.)

Blunt are heavy stamina drainers as well.
