It's just dumb that we HAVE to pretty much do the moat thing, otherwise they completely devastate whatever they touch. I would almost appreciate it if the other enemies did more damage later on because they are absolutely insane. Why would the difficulty spike for invasions be like this? The swamp, plains, and mountain invasions pale in comparison to the Forest one, and that one comes in before you can even get Stone.. ridiculous!

Putting the head on the spawn is not the trigger for raids in our experience. It's the actual death of the boss. We killed Moder, only boss we've killed on that map, to get the Artisan table up and running. We now have to reside in a Mountain base because it's fuling madness every 46 minutes it seems. @_@ (20% chance, my axe!)

If you absolutely, positively want to keep raids low-key, I would advise not killing any bosses on the live/multiplayer server, and having a session hosted just for beating bosses.
