i mean you want your big cannons to target the things that are maybe an actual threat to your base and not waste ammo on a boar or run out of ammo on greydwarfs (as these things never stop comeing if youre near a black forest) like trolls or seekers are a good choice to target for them. or youre evil even target good fluffy bois (lox)

and remember applying the trophy will also make the ballista not shot the player anymore. it will only shot that target. and it gives trophys more use aswell.

Ok but think for one second, if you set it to "seeker" it'll only target seekers, it won't target seeker soldiers, and vice versa. It's rare you would only be attacked by 1 of these two, and more likely youll get both sooner or later, and you probably don't want to spend every in game day switching out trophies on 10 ballistas (this is assuming you've collected enough trophies for this, which is very unlikely for seeker soldiers). So for a mistlands base it means they will only work 1/3 of the time, based on if you set it to seeker, soldier or gjall.

nothing is set in stone. it may not be just one at a time. maybe a group of trophies can be used. we will see.

If by some chance they let you use more than 1 trophy, then I can see the use against an archetype of enemy, but until then it's still super situational in which case things would still be more quickly dispatched with a a line of Lox or not deal with it at all with a moat.
