What I'm asking is to increase map fog clearing radius from boat, because right now you literally have to go with board 5m from water line to reveal shoreline on world map. Why is this essential? So I can ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ see where is what on the land. Reveal radius is abysmally small, frankly so small i doesn't even make sense.
Imagine if playing RTS or aRPG war fog would be only revealed few steps around your character instead of whole visible screen. That's how fog of war in games work - it reveals on map what you've seen, but in Valheim it's like less than 1/10th of what I actually see, to a point I have to go with boat almost on waterline to reveal shorelines on the map. I'm not even asking to make it equal to real peripheral vision, just +50-100% of a current one.
