I have multiple docks since I build one per island on the map. And I have noticed I can go almost fishing all day just by going after another dock after no fish bites for a minute. Fishes seems to respawn like any other mob and you needed to wait to repopulate a spot before fishing there again. And also deepwaters seems have no fishes on them and only shallow coastal waters have fishes on them.

Deepwater have fishes, only 2* but are rare , these that gives 4 fish meats
