Except we're not, right? What, a handful of trolls get to strip the rest of us of our legitimate complaints?
You ask us to be respectful, but you strip us of our voices because of actions other people take? So I'm being punished for someone elses behaviour? I view that as extremely disrespectful.
Maybe, you know, remove the people who are disrespectful and let the rest of us give our legitimate criticism?
Unless it actually has nothing to do with respect and is just an excuse to remove negative feedback on your game-- which I wouldn't even blame you for, it's your business, why allow people to give negative feedback on your own platforms? Well, one reason would be so that your userbase actually trusts you and thinks that you respect us enough to hear the bad with the good.
Anyways, it's definitely the latter. We have the ability to ban people from community discussions here. You could have simply banned or silenced those causing problems. Instead you punished every single one of your customers.
To be clear, I was in that thread and I was negative. I should have every right to be. Unless this is Saudi Arabia or something where they silence people. And in saying this, I'm likely guilty of being "disrespectful" in their eyes, when in reality I'm accurately assessing the situation. If you don't want to be compared to countries that censor and treat people like garbage, don't censor and treat people like garbage. If you want our respect, well, it's a two way street-- but I know this has nothing to do with respect and *everything* to do with damage control.
Again to be clear, I have not insulted anyone here, I have not said any swear words. I'd bet money this thread still gets removed for some nonsense reason. So please, have the respect to not treat us like idiots. Just tell us that this is your platform, your game, your business, and your right to silence negative opinions. Because that's the reality of things. Dressing it up as anything else is disrespectful.
I also distinctly remember two or three people in that thread who were basically shrieking at anyone who dared to question the Valheim developers. They were starting fights with people. The people who were giving negative feedback were pretty much just giving their legitimate feedback. It was the people supporting Valheim that were being toxic from what I saw. Were they muted or silenced? Of course not.
I love Valheim and I want it to succeed. I still have negative criticism though. If you can't deal with the criticism of people who genuinely love your products then you don't deserve people who genuinely love your products.
Refusing to hire more staff to finish your game or fulfil your promises? Choosing not to do that is disrespectful to the millions of people who bought your game and likely made everyone involved with Valheim far more rich than they ever expected. Choosing to pocket that money and continue development at a snails pace with the only real content now being released nearly two years later? I mean let's be real, there were two roadmaps both of which ended up being scrapped? Whatever happened to sticking to your word, or at least attempting to stick to it... Repeatedly breaking promises because you refuse to spend the money we gave you to finish an early access title? It's disrespectful.
So please, don't try to lecture us about respect... We're paying customers who bought into an early access title with yet another developer that refuses to bring their game out of early access in a reasonable amount of time.
They removed my post (before they closed the mistlands feedback thread) and warned me, for saying to some random dude that he should read ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ books. And no - i didn't insult him anywhere in my post.
Seriously, they should get rid of some of those "mods" or stop giving "mod" to a kids.
It seems that we have many snowflakes here, and when they are out of arguments, they try to "delete" your posts :)
