Are you mining during night time?

When mining during day, the sound can draw mobs quite a distance around the node and occasionally the game will spawn new enemies. During night, when more mobs are spawned it can be tedious. Trolls are usually not that common and by putting fireplaces around the node you can mostly ignore the grey-dwarfs.
