Turhs out that the force field around Haldor does not keep enemies out. "The ground is shaking..." and two trolls came right into my base through Haldor's force field.

Perhaps enemies cannot physically harm a Viking inside the force field but they can certainly walk right through it.

I've never actually seen a creature repulsed by the bubble. The only effect I've noticed is that when I'm inside it they no longer seem to see me so maybe that's all it does. If you're outside it perhaps there's nothing to actually stop an enemy from pathing to your location?
