retsam1 replied to knock back - any way to reduce a little??? - and an end game to play April 19, 2022 @ 3:59:52 am PDT
Wow sometimes the knock back even from what should be mild hits seems kind of excessive
I'm wondering if there's a mod to reduce it or tweak it a little
in particular I have always hated the knock back on a parry... ideally a parry and then the follow through (a riposte) shouldn't cause a knock back because the point of it is to hit your opponent after moving their attack aside.. but no instead it knocks them back out of range so you can't bleeping hit them.. yes it staggers them but you still then have to run or even sprint to get to them in time to hit them
I'm "playing with fulings" right now and man it's gets annoying being in a crowd zinging back and forth and left and right so much from the hits..
playing with fulings involves finding a village then
1) trying to steal all the totems first, before killing anything
2) if I have a mod to harvest a everything near by, to steal their crops, before killing anything
3) then maybe try to open the chests or just destroy them instead, before killing anything
4) then go and selectively gank the shammies
5) finally run around a lot to isolate individuals to kill
6) deal with the berserkers, saving the "best" part for last...
I guess if I just look at the knockback as part of the unrealiism that is "the game" it's not too bad most of the time, except after parries!!!, but really I do get kind of fed up with it after playing my "game" for a while...
Your play style/approach to dealing with fulings factors more into your frustrations than the knockback in intself, really.
