I actually have 2 caves marked in my current world that have the lake/water in them with Tetra fish. I just don't have the bait to catch them :(

just go to that lake every once in a while and you will find a bunch of tetras lying around infront of it. things in caves dont despawn i think. i had a cave i visited on day 1 (with cheats) and then again around day 70 and there were 14 tetras lying around simply to pick up.
