Agreed, there needs to be a better way.

I think they need more stuff from the swamp on that drop scrap iron. Not a lot so you cannot just skip ahead. Enough to where early in the game you can at least build stone walls for trolls yet hard enough to grind that you may as well find crypts. Then later on be a bit more bountiful in other biomes so we are not scouring the world for iron when we are on a server with friends and not enough to go around.
