You have to be using the Barrier. The eitr weave armor isn't as "Fragile" as it seems though. I made a huge mistake and got surrounded by 4 seekers, all of which got a solid hit on me, and with lvl 2 eitr weave, I still had around 30hp left (From about 180 base) that's 2 eitr foods and 1 health (misthare supreme, Yggradasil Porrige and Seeker Aspic)
You can survive 1-2 1 star seeker hits depending on how much your food has decated, but a 2 star seeker will 1 shot you at full health through armor. My MO when a 2 star seeker is seen is to not even risk it, an immediately bonemass.
However, with the barrier, you are always guaranteed to survive 1 hit from ANYTHING in the game, as it has no damage bleed (Mechanically referred to as 1 shot protection) even if the barrier has 1HP left. As you level Blood magic up, the barrier becomes so immensely strong, Blood magic is better protection that full armor and a shield.
I would recommend leveling your blood magic to at least 25 before going into the mistlands as full magic spec. And have a Frost staff. The slowdown effect is worth the DPS loss compared to the fire staff. SKeletons aren't really useful in the mistlands, the terrain is too jagged in most spots, but certainly assess your environment and make the best choice for the engagement at hand.
Thanks for the advice. I do have some learning to do with magic, since I haven't tried it yet.
You are right that the eitr weave is not bad armor. Fenris is much better than I expected as well, which is a few points weaker, but that's with 200+ health. I've now had to fight 2 2* seekers in the mines, and they hit hard, even with bonemass!
Back to the mines...
Yeah, because of how the damage formula works in the game, if your armor is under the attack power of the damage received, each point of armor makes a much larger difference, but then the inverse is true once your armor exceeds the attack power of the enemy hit.
