hmmm cloud sync seems to have a problem with this game. If i was you i would manually transfer his world save onto his pc if he wants to keep it as i fear if you delete it then it will be lost all together.
instead of deleting it just move his world save somewhere else like to your desktop and see if he can get it back. if not then you will have to transfer the file.
