All too often these threads keep appearing where some impatient player decides that since the game isn't progressing as they hoped, they call it "dead" or "abandoned", and even going as far as OP here, talking like the devs are getting ready to "bail out" without a single shred of evidence to back that up.

The devs haven't worked any faster or slower than they have all along, as they have always stated that they would be working "slow and steady", and NOT rushing out content just for the sake of putting out content. They intend to release content WHEN it's ready, and not before that.

In case you haven't noticed, the content they have released so far (the entire first half of the game) is highly-polished and virtually bug-free, which is almost unheard of for an EA game in this stage of development.

You do you... if you aren't satisfied with development or too impatient, then simply go play something else until more content comes out. or wait until full release (couple years?), but there's no reason to start spreading false information, such as suggesting that the devs are crooks about to bail on the game and run off with the money.

I also want to point out that Iron Gate did not port the game to console... another team did that, so it's not like the devs stopped development to go work on consoles or something...

The new biome will be here eventually, and it will likely be just as good as the rest of the content, if not better.
