technicly having the Maypole and crown available was a bug. They are only supposed to be available during some summer or spring festivale/Holiday. I don't remember the name of said holiday sadly.

Having them available in Autumn is like having a Yule tree available in summer. It was a bug and they fixed it. Yeah, it sucks but there isn't much anyone can do without using devcommands, mods or hacks until next year.
