Especially on software projects, adding more ppl doesn't add speed...

On a personal note, my experience with EA titles that get successful is rather checkered. All the money, etc. adds considerable operational risk to any endeavor (not to get into details).

Historically speaking, a game developer would beat/cajole/etc their drones to get a product out, paying them less on the promise that if successful they'd get a payday and a chance to work on the sequel. The software they'd make was mostly disposable trash that only just barely worked, and was an absolute nightmare to maintain for any amount of time. "Burn Time" was the ultimate thing dictating most game developers: "How much cash we got before we kick out a product regardless...?"

The software for an longer-term EA title on Steam has to be a completely different beast, even if it prolly starts off similarly. More like a software development team for a business.
