I'm fairly sure that player/admin configuration management will be included before the game leaves EA. IGS and Coffee Stain are well aware that their business profits from as large and diverse a customer population as possible. Some player/admin will want to have something so challenging that even highly skilled and experienced multi-play teams will be screaming for relief and then others will want a much more sublime experience to allow explorers and builders free reign to visit the Mistlands with no enemies at all (or even the ability to tame Seekers?) and build spectacular edifices that can be featured in build-of-the-month. But customized games are not easy or cheap. There is a lot of testing to make sure that all of the parametric variations won't crash the game or cause other unintended bugs. That means a vast number of testers and there are no better set of testers than the folks who visit this forum and participate in the Public Test activities. It will be fun, exciting and very challenging in and of itself.
