It'll probably be in EA a few more years and a New Game + is probably out of the question until then, since there currently is no end game to trigger end options.

They are apparently working on difficulty settings. People keep talking about sliders, I very much hope it's not sliders. I want to see options, as granular as possible - more of a pick-your-own-challenge than simple difficulty settings.
