Doors have a bottom threshold that seems kind of protruding when used on dirt only. This also trips up using the door as access to an animal pen. Wolves often just stop there when they should follow me. If there's several wolves the 1st one is often pushed through the doorway then the 2nd one gets stuck, etc. The gate has no threshold so their passage is unaffected.
I'm with the gate crowd on this one.
