as for blocking..since you're fighting trolls that mean you already had a chance to encounter skeletons. kill few til you get 3 trophies and craft yourself a bone tower shield. it can block troll's attack. though i still don't recommend it.

Only with bronze buckler lvl 3 , with less you cant parry a troll

And nah , a bone tower shield dont defend well against trolls
Their block armor are 32-44 and trolls hits for 50-70

i did it with lvl1 and had no problems. idk if the fact that i was wearing full troll armor set changes anything, but nontheless.
