Feather cloaks, in antiquity were primarily in tropical and subtropic regions as far as I know, this seems more like a Game of Thrones kinda thing.

The Vikings used duck feathers for two applications:

1) For pillows

2) For the collar lining of winter cloaks

There's an article from 2018 from the Department of Archaeology and Cultural History at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) University Museum that explains this in pretty good detail.
